Lerwick Two-Tone Herringbone Throws
Lerwick is woven from 100% New Zealand wool, bringing natural warmth and softness to a timeless herringbone design. The two-tone weave creates subtle movement across the surface, with the colour shifting depending on how the light falls.
Herringbone is a broken twill, woven in alternating diagonal blocks. Working it in two tones is what gives Lerwick its depth: at a distance the throw reads as a single colour, and up close the structure resolves into two, which is why it holds interest in a plain room without introducing pattern.
New Zealand wool is the right fibre for it. The natural crimp holds air between the strands, so the throw is warm without weight, and it recovers its loft after being folded rather than compressing over a season. Wool also takes dye deeply, which is what lets the two tones read as rich rather than washed.
At 150cm x 183cm it is generous enough to cover a double bed or share across a sofa. The palette runs through rustic, earthy tones: vintage, hunter, charcoal, tangelo and navy. Thick, warm and well suited to gifting.
