ottoman & furniture care guide
Our furniture is designed to be lived with and enjoyed every day. With the right care and maintenance, you can help preserve the appearance and performance of your piece for years to come. Below is a simple guide with practical advice to support its longevity.
general care
Vacuum upholstered furniture regularly using low suction to help prevent dust and debris from settling into the fabric.
Attend to spills immediately by gently removing any solids and blotting liquids with a clean, dry, undyed cloth. Avoid scrubbing or over-wetting the upholstery or filling, as this may damage the fabric.
Allow damp areas to dry thoroughly in the shade, away from direct heat and sunlight.
spots and spills
For accidental spills, act quickly. Gently remove any solids before blotting liquids with a clean, dry, undyed cloth.
Always blot rather than scrub, as excessive agitation may damage the surface of the upholstery. Avoid saturating the fabric or allowing moisture to penetrate the internal filling.
For persistent stains or a more thorough clean, we recommend contacting a professional upholstery cleaner.
easy-clean fabric
Selected Weave furniture, including our Norcia and Campello ottomans are upholstered in fabric treated with a non-toxic, easy-clean finish.
To maintain the performance of this finish, do not apply third-party fabric protection treatment or cleaning products unless professionally recommended.
pilling
Pilling may occur on some upholstered furniture with normal everyday use and is a natural characteristic of certain fabrics rather than a manufacturing fault.
If required, pills can be gently removed using a battery-operated fabric shaver. Avoid pulling loose fibers from the surface.
timber care
For furniture with timber components, including the ashwood veneer legs of our Norcia ottoman, wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.
Avoid bleach, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, which may damage the timber finish. Wipe away moisture promptly.
sun and heat exposure
Where possible, position furniture away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources. Extended exposure may cause fading, discolouration or changes to upholstery and timber finishes over time.
professional cleaning
Annual professional cleaning is recommended for upholstered furniture to help maintain its appearance and condition.
furniture warranty
Weave furniture is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects under normal residential use.
Our furniture is designed to be enjoyed as part of everyday living, and some changes in appearance can naturally occur with use. These characteristics, along with improper care or cleaning, are not considered manufacturing faults.
